Areas of focus

Counselling for the moments that feel too much to carry alone

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship pain, stress, or something harder to name — I offer a calm, private space to work through it together.

Relationship issues

Whether you're struggling with conflict, trust, communication, or the end of a relationship, counselling can help you untangle what's happening and work out what you want to do next.

Anxiety

Anxiety is more than feeling nervous. It's a persistent presence that affects sleep, concentration, and daily life. Drawing on CBT and person-centred approaches, I can help you understand what's driving it.

Depression

Depression can make even simple tasks feel impossible. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to talk honestly — with integrative support and Samaritan training for those in acute distress.

Grief and loss

Grief doesn't follow a timetable and it isn't only about death. With specialist bereavement experience at Grief Encounter, I offer space to process loss at your own pace, without pressure to move on.

Stress

When stress becomes persistent or overwhelming, it affects your health, relationships and sense of self. Counselling helps you understand what's driving it and build a practical response that works for your life.

Abuse

Whether you're still in a difficult situation or working through the aftermath of abuse, I offer a safe, confidential space where you will be believed and supported — at your pace, without judgement.

Low self-esteem

Low self-esteem often has deep roots in early experiences. Counselling helps you understand where your self-critical patterns come from — and begin to develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

How it works

What to expect

Starting counselling can feel daunting. Here’s a simple overview of how the process works.

1

Free 15-min call

A relaxed, no-pressure conversation to introduce ourselves and see if we're a good fit. No commitment required.

2

First session

We take time to explore what's brought you to counselling and what you'd like to get from our work together.

3

Ongoing sessions

Weekly 50-minute sessions, at the same time each week. The pace and direction are always led by you.

4

Ending well

When you're ready to finish, we'll work through an intentional ending — reflecting on your journey and what comes next.

What our sessions are like

Every session is different — shaped by what you bring on the day. But here are some things you can always count on.

You don't need to know what to say

Many people come to their first session not knowing where to start — or worried they’re “not bad enough” to need counselling. You don’t need to have a clear problem or the right words.

Counselling is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, feel less alone, or work through something that’s been weighing on them. That includes you.

The first step is simply showing up. I’ll help with the rest.
